A ticket 20 years in the making...
These two met in middle school and reconnected in life while they both pursued careers on Capital Hill. This wedding had all the makings of an elegant campaign dinner.
The bride got ready at her grandmother's home in Baltimore, MD where she spent many days as a child. Her wedding dress was hung on the same hook that her mother's wedding gown hung on many years ago. That might have been one of my favorite details of the day. The other favorite being the bride looking out at the American flag hanging outside her grandmother's home. She told me about her passion for this country and how it led her and her husband to their careers on the Hill.
Her father had the sweetest reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress and was so proud to walk his daughter down the aisle. They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony complete with all the traditions. Following the ceremony, they had a reception at the Country CLub of Maryland. They could not have had better weather or a more perfect evening. The crowd was ready to celebrate and the dance floor was never empty. A wonderful night for a wonderful couple.
